Oooooh! Oh! Oh! Oh! Oh!
I’m soooo excited about what’s coming. I mean, there are a LOT of things coming, but one in particular feels awfully important and special because it’s connected to a group of gals that have become like sisters to me over the last 7 months or so.
Last December we started a “Cozy Coaching” group and every week committed to connecting on Sundays for a support call. It’s been quite a journey and we’ve watched each other transform so much in that time. We had agreed to stick together for 6 months, then after that, we would decide what to do from there.
Well, 6 months came and it was “pow wow” time. The gals and I thought that it would be pretty neat to offer other people the chance to join in on these calls, too. Having listened to my incessant rambling for 6 months, they know the ropes around here as well as anyone, and are perfect candidates for supporting YOU in your process around here.
We have A LOT going on. Detoxes, cleanses and clutter busting. We have recipes, challenges and summits, too. It’s a veritable festival of love and good vibrations, but sometimes we all need a personal push in the right direction in order to be able to participate fully and enjoy some of these events and things.
I know that in spite of all my efforts to bring people out of their shells, there are always a few teary-eyed troopers sitting on the side lines shoulding all over themselves. And soooo, dear Diva, we have decided to open up our Sunday coaching calls and invite YOU, as a member of this community and a participant of our programs, to join us and get your questions answered.
I receive a lot of questions during the week and also feel like having a call like this would be the perfect
opportunity to answer these questions personally and provide more one on one support for newcomers. Sooo… our “Cozy Coaching” group has become the team of Cozy Coaches and they’re going to guide and support you (along with myself, of course) through your adventures in Divaland.
The first one will be happening THIS SUNDAY!! Here’s how you access the call! You don’t have to sign up for anything, you don’t have to give us your email address, or anything. At least not for now. We may eventually limit this to paid participants of our programs ONLY, but for now, it’s an open invitation to Divas EVERYWHERE!
Since we’re not taking email addresses, we can’t remind you about the call, though! So… mark it in your calendar. Print out the page and remember to come back on Sunday night, or whenever you can, to listen to the call. If you’re not going to be able to come, you can send in your questions ahead of time by entering them on the teleseminar page.
As for other news around here, I’m still CRAZY busy with the Raw Mom Summit and thrilled with the impact its having. I’m also getting ready to roll out another issue of Health in High Heels. Oh yes, dear sistars, I’m gonna do it.
But first, a run that will make me sweat up a storm, release my toxins, circulate endorphins and get me feeling AMAZING! School’s out, summer is here and it’s time to soak up sun and make Vitamin D while we can.
Love you like glue, SnickerDoodle.
Let me know what you think of these weekly support calls, ok!
Huuuuge hugs,
Tera

Will it be recorded, so we can listen to it later in the day/put it on an MP3? For some folks the time difference is just too much. It’s not such a great idea to listen every Sunday night between 2 and 3 or 3 and 4 in the morning.

Hi Dear Divas,
I look forward to the Sunday support call. What a great opportunity to talk and have any questions aired and cleared up to move on!
Thanks for another superb voice! I too, hope to listen on an MP3.
Huggies to all,
Sharee
Hey, lovelies.
Yes! The calls will be recorded! Go ahead and send in your questions!

Hello lovely Raw Divas! I have been trying to decide between which appliances I absolutely need in my journey to become 100% raw. Such things are quite expensive, especially for a jobless college student! I was thinking a food processor and maybe a juicer would be a killer combo, or maybe just the food processor for now. I don’t think I’d use a dehydrator much. I like to keep my meals as simple as possible; I’m not one who enjoys staying in the kitchen for a crazy amount of hours, that’s for sure. So, my question for you is what appliances do you recommend I invest in? Thank you!

My question is… how to go raw when you’re nursing a young babe? I just find myself so hungry all the time… and feel like my milk supply is diminishing when I eat mostly raw. I feel like I’d have to be eating all day long in order to keep up.
Also, I have a 3-year old as well, and he is not really loving the recipes (even the ones from the Health Lunch Box eBook I’m sorry to say). I’m trying to transition him slowly (we eat very healthy anyway, but for some reason he LOVES the meat from our CSA, and will inhale granola from a box, but won’t touch the raw granola I made).
The last question I have is about consistency. It seems like raw foods are either totally crunchy (raw veggies, greens, etc.) or blended and pudding-like. I miss the consistency of cooked food more than anything, I think. What kinds of foods should I start with?
Thanks!

I went to my local Goodwill and was lucky to find a Braun blender/mixer/food processor-still in it’s original box, retail $300 (price on the box) and I paid $30 for it. I use it every day to make my smoothies, on weekend to make mega salad and on occasion to make crackers and desserts. Eventually I will have to invest in the more expensive equipment because I intend to eat raw until my boney little fingers cannot cut through another carrot. I have been 80%-90% raw since Jan 09 and I am really enjoying it. I have some health issues that I am addressing but losing weight was my initial intent. I have lost 50# and have set my goal for 20# more and I could not have done it without my Braun blender. Good luck with your quest to find a good deal. Oh, by the way, I really enjoy using my dehydrator, the recipes take very little time and there is very little time spent monitoring the dehydrator. I spent about $150 on a Good4U that has a timer and adjustable thermostat-It works like a charm.

I have just spent 5 days trying to be raw whilst my cooked husband and teenage son were both away. Whilst being really motivated after a couple of days I really struggled with feeling incredibly hungry and began to dread another colourful but not quite satisfying meal. I felt the need for something more – like rice, potato etc. Wondered if this is something other people have experienced? Is it just an initial stage? Any tips would be appreciated.
Thanks x

I started on this journey a long time ago, and what you said above reminded me of what a lot of people are saying. About the challenges, and how hard it is with others. Well, I don’t know where and when exactly I started on this journey, but some of my challenges have been since I went from cooking for a family of eight to trying to cook for one. I was always haveing the same thing for four days or more, I wasn’t eating whole foods then. First I was put on allergy tests, and told to get off milk and dairy, I did mostly, but not completly. Would allow myself to fudge every fourth or fifth day, but didn’t know about plant based diets. I had lots of stress issues, diverticulitus,IBS, Crohn’s, CFS, gout like swelling in legs. Doctor’s always telling me it was in my head, then diabetes diagnosis, and the cycle of meds, to find out what worked, and ten years into it, having to go on insulin. This all started to manifest in 1976-77 until now, and about ten years ago, while involved in an on-line strategy, I received a phone call from an individual in Missouri, telling me they were concerned about my health, and that I needed to go to a Genesis diet, or in their words Fruitarian, sent me a page of handwritten references, and I started reading up on the subject, and I am now a work in progress. I got really old, already did that, now I am growing young! Recently lost a few sizes, and noticed my pain level is receeding, energy’s up etc. All good from now on…finally I have gone a year without grains and icecream.
Everything’s orchestrated, every day is a miracle….
